Appointments

Same day appointments to see Doctors are now available to book from 8 am Mondays to Fridays. Patients can walk in to the surgery just before 8 am, or use the online portal to book their appointments.  

 

Missed Appointments

If you are unable to attend a GP or Nurse appointment, please contact the Practice as soon as possible so that the appointment could be offered to other patients.  DNA appointments are not only becoming more common and increase waiting times but it also costs the NHS £300m.  

Assigned GP

Did you know that all patients have an assigned GP?  You can book your appointments with any GP you wish to see at our Surgery, but if you wish to know your assigned GP, please ask at reception when you next attend the Practice.

This is to make you all aware that our website can help you with the management of your own care.  Under the heading 'Further Information' the 'Live Well tab' will take you through to the NHS website where there are guides for a variety of health issues.  This holds very helpful information and could benefit you in many ways.  Please take the time to read through the information for a better understanding and awareness of different health advice. 

Below is a link to Healthy Ageing which you could find very useful.  This is a guide to general health and fitness for any age but is particularly relevant for those who are 70 years and over.  This will give helpful and useful advice on general wellbeing for all ages.

The Bromley GP Alliance (BGPA)

The Bromley GP Alliance (BGPA) is a new exciting pilot project which commenced in December 2015.

GP hubs were opened in response to the desire for 8-8 opening in general practice across the Borough of Bromley.

Each day there will be additional appointments available for booking released each day at three sites:

 

Bromley                 Crown Medical Centre, 3 Mackintosh Street, Bromley, Kent, BR2 9GT

Orpington              Poverest Medical Centre, 42 Poverest Rd BR5 2DQ

Beckenham           Cator Medical Centre based at Beckenham Beacon, 379 Croydon Rd BR3 3QL

 

You can be seen by a Bromley based GP who will have full access to your medical records between the hours of 16.00 and 19.40 Monday to Friday.

In addition, there are pre-bookable weekend appointments at all three sites. Saturday appointments (at all three sites) are bookable up to a week in advance and Sunday appointments (at Bromley and Beckenham) are bookable up to 4 weeks in advance.  N.B You must contact The Bromley Common Practice in person, or call on 020 8466 9017 to access these appointments.

 Appointments will consist of a mixture of pre-booked urgent cases and routine appointments.
