How to get a repeat prescription

If you are on regular medication, you will be given a printed repeat prescription list which will enable you to request further amounts of these medications without seeing the doctor every time. If you have lost your slip, please ask at reception and they will reprint one for you.

Alternatively you can now order your repeat prescription online here: https://patient.emisaccess.co.uk  You need to sign up for an online account in order to log-in. If you've not already got one why not speak to the receptionist next time you're in the practice?

We do not accept requests over the telephone. Therefore you must make your request in writing if you have not got your printed reorder list.

Please allow 48 hours when requesting your prescription.

If you enclose a stamped addressed envelope, your prescription will be returned to you by post but allow an extra 2 days. However, several local chemists collect from us on a daily basis and will either dispense medication ready for collection, or deliver to patients who are housebound.

From time to time we will ask you to see your doctor to review your medication. We do this to monitor your illness and medication.

Going on holiday and requesting your prescription early?

Please put a note on your request form so that the prescription clerk is aware, otherwise your prescription will not be issued!

Forgotten to collect your prescription?

Any prescriptions not collected within 10 days of the request being received at the surgery, will be destroyed and the usual 48 hours notice will apply to any future requests.
