How to Make an Appointment

Appointments may be booked:

By Phone

Patients can book an appointment by calling reception on 020 8466 9017.

Cancelling Your Appointment

When you receive an appointment at the practice, please ensure that you arrive on time. If you can no longer make your appointment, it is very important you let the practice know so this can be offered to another patient.

A lot of money is wasted in the NHS every year by patients who do not attend a booked appointment.

If you receive an appointment reminder via text message and want to cancel it, you can text back CANCEL which will immediately cancel the appointment. Alternatively, you can call your practice to cancel your appointment.

Home Visits

Home visits are only for patients who are housebound or too ill to attend the surgery. It is better for you to be seen at the surgery where there are better diagnostic tools and better facilities to properly assess you.

If you require a home visit please contact the surgery as soon as possible in the morning and give the receptionist your details.

Five Elms PC Network and Bromley GP Alliance appointments

Some appointments are available for patients from the rest of the Primary Care Network practices.

Bromley GP Alliance offer access to patients across Bromley from a hub at Crown Medical Centre as follows:

  • Monday-Friday: 4-8pm
  • Saturday: 8am-1pm
  • Sunday: 8-4pm

Other locations and more information can be found on their website: https://bromleygpalliance.org/services/gp-access-hubs/

Both Five Elms Primary Care Network extended hours and Bromley GP Alliance hub appointments should be booked via reception in the usual way.

Non-urgent advice: Patient Notice

If urgent medical attention/advice is required out of hours then patients should call 111 or attend their local Urgent Care Centre/Accident & Emergency as appropriate.

Interpreting and Translation Support

The Practice has a professional translating service to offer translation for patients whose first language is not English.

The service can also provide a BSL interpreter to provide sign language for patients with hearing difficulties.

Please advise Reception when making an appointment that you require this support, so this can be arranged for your appointment.
